My little cupcake!

Addy you are sweeter than anything I have ever known in this lifetime. You make me laugh and smile so much everyday. Your little laugh is contagious and your smile could light a room. You are so beautiful. When I think of you, I melt. You have completed our life in a way that words could never describe. I thank you for that. In the morning you are so GRUMPY, like me and every morning your daddy says "hmmm, I wonder where she got that"? I just laugh because I am grumpy in the morning...probably because I know I have to leave you for the day and I hate that. I wish I could spend every minute of every day with you.

Addison Grace you have a huge personality. Great Grandmama Eparvier says you are full piss and vinegar ha ha...you are (she loves you so much, more than you will ever know). You are a strong willed little girl and you know what you want. If we don't get it for you when you want it then we are in trouble!!! I love that about you and I pray that you will always be like that.

Mimi Jo is going to love some of these pictures! You are washing the walls and sweeping the floor. Mimi Jo is a clean FREAK!!! She loves to clean and so do you. You are funny because when I pull out the broom you go wild...like I need to give you that broom or else ha ha. You crack me up!

Right now you love to be outside. Mimi Donna got you these outdoor play toys and you love them. When it is raining you cry at the door because all you want to do is go play with your toys. Sometimes I don't even open the door because I know you are going to lose it when I don't take you out.

Addy Grace, you are one LOVED little girl!!! You mean the world to your daddy and I. Please slow down a little...you are growing faster than I can keep up. I love you my little lady!

Addy's first pony!

Ever since I knew I was having a little girl I was super excited to get to do all of those girl things with her. One of the things that I was most excited to do is her hair. I couldn't wait for it to be long enough for hair clips, braids, and pony tails. Addy was born with a lot of hair and I could put clips in it right away...I loved that.

But, I just couldn't wait to put her hair up. It seemed like it took forever for her hair to grow long enough for a ponytail but as soon as it was you better believe that I got my hands on that hair. Addy was pretty good about it too and pretty much let me do whatever I wanted to it. It didnt last long though so I had to be quick. Here is Addy's first pony tail!

She looks like such a big girl. I love that she lets me do her hair. I am going to take advantage of this and enjoy it because I know she will not always let me do her hair.

Addison Grace, you are such a beautiful little girl. I love you more than you will ever know. Please always stay sweet and thank you for letting me dress you up!

I even got pigtails in that hair!!!!!

Our Sleeping Beauty

Addy has been sick for a while now. Low grade fever, not sleeping or eating, and just not quite herself these days. It has been going on for almost 5 weeks now and I have taken her to the doctor once a week for the last 5 weeks. I have been worried...really worried. I guess that is what happens when you are a mom, you worry a lot. And, for those of you who know me already know that I am a worry wart. I sometimes wish I wasn't like that but I am so I have come to except it. Anyway, I took Addison to the doctor last Friday and it was horrible. They tried to do a catheter on her...it was the worst thing ever to watch and it broke my heart to see her go through that. They couldn't get it in so they attached a bag and told me to come back. They were wanting to check for a UTI just to make sure that wasn't what was causing her fever. They said if that was negative then they would do a blood count. At this point I lost it. I was so upset. It is really hard to watch people do things to your baby. Luckily, when I got home Eric's grandma had arrived and I was so super happy to see her. She went back to the doctor with me and they checked the sample and it was negative. So, they said they would send it in and call me Monday to let me know the results and also to see how Addy did over the weekend.

She did ok over the weekend but still had a fever and a low grade temp, still not eating great or sleeping. When they checked in with me Monday I told them that so they decided to order some blood work but also put her on an antibiotic (FINALLY). I was so sad that she would have to get blood work done and just felt sad. I didn't want her to go through this. So, I picked her up from the sitters and off to the doctor we went to get her blood drawn. When they draw blood from a baby they do it the same way they do for an adult. I got to hold her and I loved that they let me. They prepped her and got to work. Addy did awesome!!! A few tears but honestly she cries way more during her shots. I was so proud of her...she was so brave. I love her so much for that. She must have known that mommy needed her to be brave. Now we just wait for the results and I pray that everything will come back good.

Anyway, she had a long day yesterday because we had to wake her from her nap and she didn't get a second one. By bath time she was exhausted and after wards Eric brought her down to watch barney just to wind down. Well, she passed out cold on him. It was adorable...I loved seeing my two loves like that. Addy is really busy and Eric and I couldn't believe that she just passed out like that. It was super cute. We love you Addison...you are so amazing and such a strong little girl. Thank you for being so brave. Here are a few pictures of Addy passed out.

Update: Addison's blood work came back normal. Thank you Jesus!

Its been a long time and boy how our little girl has changed

I have been reading blogs for a long time and I enjoyed doing it when I was pregnant with Addy. Somewhere along the way I just stopped but as I look back at what I had written before it made me realize how much I love doing it and how sweet it is to go back and look at what Addy was up to. So, here we are again and I am ready to update and record more memories of our little angel.

Boy, has our little girl grown. She is going to be 17 months old tomorrow but for some reason it seems like just yesterday I was holding her in my arms at the hospital. I kept saying I cant wait for her to roll over, and she did, then I would say it will be so cute when she crawls, and she did that too! Now, she is walking and talking and just being a real ham. Everyday with out little girl is so fun...and sometimes very challenging. Its hard work but totally worth all of the bad days and sleepless night. We love you Addy more than you will ever know. Please slow down, you are growing way too fast.

Addy you are walking and talking...we cant understand everything that you are saying but it sure is cute!!! We often say that you sound like a little chinese lady ha. You have been woofing like a dog...a lot, you love to say daddy and you often call me that, you are a strong willed little lady and I should have known you would be especially the way that you tricked us when we wrere pregnant with you! You are busy...like all over the place all the time kind of busy, you can be sassy but in a sweet way, yesterday I was trying to feed you and you told me "NO", I loved hearing those words and I was so excited...I'm sure I will wish you never learned those words but for now its cute. You love to do dangerous things like climb over the couch and jump off from thing you can be a real handful and you are great at keeping us busy! You are 23lbs now which is a huge difference from the 6lb 10 oz baby girl that we brought home from the hospital but you sure have grown into a sweet little thing. We love you more than you will ever know...even when you drive us crazy ha!

We took you to Florida, your very first vacation and you loved the beach! In fact what you really loved were those darn birds. You wanted nothing to do with anything except those birds. We were chasing you up and down the beach as you ran after them. You were so cute and so fearless of the water. I think if we would have let you you would have dove right in without any hesitation. You loved playing in the sand and really loved your sand bucket. You would feel it with your two blankie bears and just walk around with it. We loved seeing you have so much fun. It was a great first family vacation.

Addy you are a free spirit and I hope you are always like that. Thank you for changing our lives and for being such a special little girl to all of us. We love you little lady!
